Our speaker, Albany County ADA Daniel Bulger,  will discuss the role of a financial analyst/forensic auditor in a criminal prosecution using a case study. The session will also include general points on how cases are selected for prosecution and how the 2020 discovery reforms will impact future investigations.

Speaker Bio

Daniel Bulger, JD

Daniel is currently an Assistant District Attorney in Albany County in the financial crimes unit. The unit handles financial crimes of every suit (fraud, larceny, laundering) from various agencies in Albany county and throughout New York State.


Daniel is also the CARP prosecutor, a grant position dedicated to combating fraud against the government. Prior to Albany County, he was the CARP prosecutor in Schenectady County, where Daniel started his career.


Daniel is a graduate of Cornell Law School and in a former life, was a PhD candidate in film studies.
